All aspects of nuclear structure as a quantum mechanical many-body system, which also includes metal cluster physics. Examples are : Shape vibrations, compression modes and various kinds of giant resonances. Shell-structure and nuclear shape. Nuclear beta-decay and charge exchange modes. Pair correlations, especially in connection with the structure of rotating nuclei and drip line nuclei. Anharmonicity of nuclear collective motion. Particle-vibration coupling. Core polarization phenomena. Nuclear high angular momentum phenomena. Exotic deformations such as octupole deformation, superdeformation and triaxial quadrupole deformation. Wobbling motion and chiral bands. Dynamics of nuclei far from beta-stability lines. Isospin impurities.
